A Golf Getaway: KWSH Charity Golf 2023

Sentosa played host to KWSH Charity Golf 2023 as our golfers enjoyed a relaxing day at the famous island resort getaway on Friday, 11 August. The Sentosa Golf Club was abuzz with excitement and philanthropic spirit as the 140 golfers swung their clubs at The Tanjong Course for a friendly competition in support of Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital. The annual event, organized with the aim of raising funds for KWSH to continue making a difference and supporting the seniors in need, received a significant boost in prestige with the presence of Mr Desmond Tan, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, as the distinguished guest of honour.

The picturesque greens of Sentosa Golf Club provided the perfect backdrop for this remarkable gathering, where Mr Tan and the rest of the participants showcased their golfing prowess while contributing to a noble cause. After an exciting round of competition, the golfers were treated to a well-deserved dinner where guest of honour Mr Desmond Tan also presented tokens of appreciation to our event sponsors. The presentation of tournament prizes to our top golfers then followed before the lucky draw brought the evening to a close.

KWSH would like to thank Mr Desmond Tan for joining us at this meaningful event amidst his busy schedule. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all donors and sponsors who made this event a great success. The collective efforts of golfers, donors, and sponsors raised a total of $500,000 for the Hospital. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the financial resources needed to continue serving the needy elderly.
