Nurses’ Day and Quality Festival 2017

Nurses’ Day 2017

KWSH celebrated our Nurses’ Day on 11 August 2017 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of our newly-completed nursing home building. Chairman Patrick Lee and some of the other Board members were in attendance to show their appreciation for KWSH’s care staff. A group of residents, alongside KWSH staff, put up a performance on behalf of all the residents with singing, percussion and ukulele to express their heartfelt gratitude to the heroes and heroines who take care of them every day.

The biggest cheers of the day, however, were reserved for a group of nurses when they decided to let their hair down and returned the compliments with a dance medley of their own. The crowd was whipped into a frenzy as the same energy and passion that our nurses always serve the residents with were now momentarily channeled to each dance step.

The celebration ended with the cake-cutting , a simple yet meaningful ceremony that has long become KWSH’s tradition on our Nurses’ Day. To all nurses of KWSH, we salute you for your energy, passion and commitment! We know taking good care of the residents is never a piece of cake, but it is our sincere way of saying thanks.

Quality Festival 2017

KWSH also celebrated KWSH Quality Festival in conjunction with Nurses’ Day to renew our efforts in improving our patient care, services and operations. 37 quality improvement projects were carried out by the staff and posters showcasing the projects were exhibited at the MPH for the Quality Festival.
