The Community Training Institute (CTI) at Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital is our dedicated hub for building capabilities in the community care sector.
Through practical training and lifelong learning opportunities, CTI supports Singapore’s growing care needs — empowering individuals to deliver better care and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Appointed by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) as the Learning Institute for the Community Care sector since July 2018
Accredited as the SkillsFuture Singapore Approved Training Provider since 2021
Winner of the SkillsFuture Employer Award (Gold)
Winner of the 2023 Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) InnovPlus Challenge for a project leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver simulation-based training for staff conducting community-based health screenings for seniors.
Winner at the 12th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards for the Community Care Associate Training Programme, presented during the annual World Ageing Festival in May 2024
Appointed as the SkillsFuture Queen Bee for the Community Care sector from October 2020 to September 2024

We understand how important a safe, comfortable environment is for your loved one’s recovery and well-being. Our rooms and wards are designed to support healing with dignity, privacy, and attentive care.
Multi-Purpose Hall (Block B, Level 2)
- Capacity: 150 pax
- Features: LED wall screen, speakers, TVs, foldable tables and chairs, Wi-Fi-enabled access
Training Room 3 (Block B, Level 2)
- Capacity: 20 pax (Room 1), 15 pax (Room 3)
- Features: Computers, projectors and screens, speakers, writing boards, flipcharts, Wi-Fi-enabled access
Training Rooms 1 & 2 (Block B, Level 2)
- Capacity: 30 pax
- Features: Computers, projector and screen, speakers, writing board, flipcharts, Wi-Fi-enabled access
Meeting Room 2 (Block C, Level 1)
- Capacity: 15 pax
- Features: Computer, projector and screen, speakers, writing board, flipcharts, Wi-Fi-enabled access
Meeting Room (Block A, Level 1)
- Capacity: 30 pax
- Features: Portable projector, writing board, flipcharts, Wi-Fi-enabled access
Consultation Rooms (Block C, Level 1)
- Capacity: 12 pax per room
