This June, we at KWSH joyfully marked our 115th anniversary — a significant milestone in our journey as a charity healthcare institution dedicated to serving our community. As we reflect on our long-standing mission, we are reminded of the values that define and guide us: care, community, and leadership.
Baking Up Memories: Dr Mok Ying Jang’s Heartfelt Gesture
Dr Mok’s personal involvement in this activity also reflected his people-first leadership style. By working side by side with our seniors, he embodied the warmth and inclusiveness that define our culture. The event was a joyful reminder that at KWSH, everyone plays a part in building a compassionate community.

Every Step With Purpose: Jian Rong’s Meaningful Challenge
Jian Rong’s determination didn’t stop after reaching his initial target. He continued his daily runs, and by 14 June 2025, he had covered an impressive total of 1,910 km — a number that pays tribute to our founding year, 1910 — as we celebrated our 115th birthday earlier that week on 10 June.
Through his challenge, Jian Rong not only demonstrated remarkable perseverance but also motivated others to get moving and give back. His journey is a testament to the power of individual action in driving collective impact.

Honouring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future
As we celebrate 115 years of service, the actions of Dr Mok and Jian Rong remind us that our legacy is built on both leadership and the everyday contributions of our staff. Whether it’s baking cupcakes with seniors or running for a cause, we are united by our commitment to care, community, and making a difference.
Here’s to many more years of compassion, innovation, and togetherness at KWSH. Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we will continue to build a healthier and more caring community for everyone.
