Installation of the 86th Board of Directors

This year, as the Hospital celebrates its 101th Anniversary, it also coincides with the installation of a new 86th Term Board of Directors.

The out-going Chairman, Dr Leong Heng Keng, who has served the Hospital for 44 years, retired from active Board duties.  He shared his sentiments of serving the charity Hospital as a legacy which he continued from his father, who had also served as a Board Director for many decades.

Mr Patrick Lee, the in-coming Chairman, will lead the new Board to provide leadership for the Hospital as it embark on its next phase of growth. This will include the redevelopment at its heritage site at Serangoon Road, as well as further expansion of services to serve the community.

The installation ceremony was held on 6 March 2011, at the Hospital’s event hall.  Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Transport, was the Guest-of-Honor to officiate the Swearing-in Ceremony of the 86th Term Board members. Other VIP guests include, Mr Heng Chee How, Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office; and other representatives from partnering government agencies, and community organizations.
