Admission Guide
In-patient Services
In-patient services available are a Nursing Home for the elderly and a Community Hospital section that provides step-down care for patients who need time to recuperate. Each is supported by a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and paramedical professionals.
 
Nursing Home
Our 350-bed Nursing Home provides comprehensive and holistic medical and nursing care for the elderly whose medical conditions require long-term daily nursing care and /or who are without caregivers to look after them at home.
 
Community Hospital
Our 50-bed community hospital section provides care for patients who are generally recuperating after a surgery or recovering from an acute medical condition.
 
Other in-patient services
1. Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy
Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Our licensed professionals provide a full range of physiotherapy, speech and occupational therapy programme.

2. Dietary & Pharmaceutical Services
We engage professionals in these two areas to provide services for our patients.

3. Ambulance Services
We provide in-house ambulance services for non-acute cases.
 
Admission criteria
 
Eligibility Criteria for Nursing Home:
 •Elderly sick who are unable to support themselves either physically or mentally due to medical conditions and/or injury.
 •Patients with medical conditions that need special nursing care, such as tube feeding, pain relief and wound dressing.
 •Patients have no care-giver, or no one is able to provide the nursing care required.
 
All patients must have a Chest X-ray done 2 months prior to application. At the time of admission, the patient should be accompanied by the guarantor and caregiver.
Eligibility Criteria for Community Hospital:
•All referrals must be from Restructured Hospitals only. Patients with stable medical and surgical conditions.
•Patients undergoing rehabiltation.
•Patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy.

How to apply for admission?
 
1. If you or your loved ones are already hospitalized, speak to the Ward Staff, Case Manager or Medical Social Worker who will liaise with KWSH.
