This year, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) turns 100 years old. To mark this milestone, we invite all students in Singapore to join our historic 100th Anniversary Logo Competition.
About the Competition
To commemorate 100 years of caring for Singapore's elderly and needy, our Hospital would like
to engage the youths of Singapore to design the 100th Anniversary Logo. Through this
competition, we hope to inspire Singapore's youths to learn from the selfless spirit of our founders,
and play their part in caring for the elderly and less fortunate.
The design should reflect KWSH's compassion and forward thinking. It should also convey the
celebratory mood of the occasion. The winning logo will be used in all official documents and
communication materials for KWSH's 100th Anniversary Celebration.
Prizes
Cash prize of S$300 will be awarded to each of the three (3) shortlisted finalists. One (1) grand prize
winner will be selected from the three (3) finalists and awarded an additional cash prize of S$1,000.
How to Enter

All students - 13-25 years old and studying in Singapore schools - are welcome to enter the
competition. |

Participants may submit more than one entry. However, each entry should only include
one design. |
| • |
Each entry should be submitted with a completed Entry Form (available here). Incomplete entries will be disqualified. |

Entries should be submitted in hard copy and soft copy to Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, 705
Serangoon Road Singapore 328127, with the title "Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital 100th
Anniversary Logo Design Competition" marked on the envelope. |
Entry Requirements

Logo design must incorporate, but not limited to:
- the current anniversary year (i.e. 100)
- the Hospital's name either in full or abbreviated KWSH. The Mandarin name of the
Hospital, 广惠肇留医院, must be used in its entirety.

The Hospital colours, Red and White, must be used in the logo, but other colours can also
be included in the design. |
| • |
Entries must include a design rationale with a maximum 100 words. |
| • |
Logo designs must be submitted in hard and soft copy.
- Hard copy: Mounted on A4 size paper
- Soft copy: Submitted in CD-RW, in JPEG, TIFF, PNG or PDF format (with an area of
10cm x 10cm, minimum resolution of 300 dpi). |
Rules and Regulations

No entry fee is required for this Competition. |

All entries must be original works of participants. |
| • |
Judges' decision is final. |
| • |
KWSH reserves all rights to use the logo in all official documents and communication
materials, and also may modify it with prior notice to participants. |

By submitting their entries to KWSH, participants are transferring all rights of their works to
the Hospital and all entries will be property of KWSH. |

By signing the Entry Form, participants acknowledge and accept the terms and
conditions of this Competition. |
| • |
Entries that fail to comply with the Competition's Rules and Regulations will be
disqualified. |

Winners will be notified via their schools in writing.
